Aaron Maxwell

Aaron was born and raised at high elevation in the Colorado Rockies. He followed rivers and valleys to the University of Montana for an undergraduate degree in microbiology and Southern Oregon University for a graduate degree in aquatic ecology. After years employed in the field of river restoration, water policy, and fisheries research, he found deeper waters and wilder spaces to explore in the field of education. He’s currently pursuing a master’s degree in secondary education at Eastern Oregon University. His passions continue to lead him to trace the contours of mountains and waterways with his wife and two ever-curious children.
